Butterflies are passive mobs added by the Familiar Fauna mod.

Spawning

They spawn in groups of 2-4 in the following biomes:

  • Plains
  • Sunflower Plains
  • Forest
  • ForestHills
  • Flower Forest
  • Jungle
  • JungleHills
  • JungleEdge
  • Jungle M
  • JungleEdge M
  • Lush Hills
  • Meadow
  • Mini Jungle
  • Rocky Plains

Catching

If you right click it with a Bug Net while having a Bug Habitat in your inventory, you will catch it. Right click with the Bug Habitat to release it.
