Obtaining

Fungi Catfish are obtained by using a Blazing Fishing Pole on lava in the nether. Just like all other fish caught in lava, Fungi Catfish cannot be burnt in lava or fire.

Fungi Catfish can be consumed to gain one hunger point. However, they will also give Hunger III for 15 seconds and Nausea II for 10 seconds.
