Beastiary Description

In Larger Makas, alphas are usually peaceful but will sometimes attack, they also spar with each other a lot. Alpha Makas will protect the rest of the herd, thus making farming Makas tricky at times.'

Spawning

Maka Alpha can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:

• Plains
• Savanna

Maka Alpha can not spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:

• Snowy

Farming

Alpha Makas cannot be farmed. They only have a chance to spawn with normal Makas. They cannot be bred Alpha-to-Alpha or Normal-to-Alpha. Unlike the normal Makas, they aren't attracted towards potatoes, carrots or wheat.

Behavior

Alpha Makas when spawned naturally stay with the herd (other Makas that have spawned with it). They will attack any mob that hurts any Makas around them (similar to zombie pigmen). They move around aimlessly with its herd and has a chance to attack the player when the player comes close to it, otherwise, it doesn't attack when a player is in the proximity and will only engage when it or the herd it hurt. Two Alpha Makas when in close proximity to each other will have a chance to 'duel' where they fight to establish the better Alpha of the herd.

Uncommon variants of Alpha Maka may drop twice or three times the amount of loot from a normal Alpha Maka. The loot increases if the mob is killed with a weapon with the Looting or Advanced Looting enchantment.
