Summer can be deadly because of how hot it gets. It's wise to explore only Cold Biomes in mid-summer. Wheat, Melons, and Sugar Cane grow in Summer. You need to be standing in water with a Cooling Coil in order to survive in a hot biome in mid-summer without Ice Armor, which is recommended.
