Spawning

Ettin can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:

• Swamp
• Spooky

Ettin spawners can be found in Dank Doomlike Dungeons and Dungeons (Vanilla).

Behavior

Ettins are slow but pack a nasty blow. If you get too close during combat they will panic and destroy nearby soft blocks such as wood or dirt. They can be defeated by building a 2 block tall tunnel, where they can't reach you.

variants

For every Ettin that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Ettin can be Verdant or Scarlet. A Verdant Ettin is dark green in color, while a Scarlet Ettin is blood red. Uncommon Ettin have higher stats than a regular Ettin.
