Gnekk
Overview
Gnekks are aggressive imps found in caves all over the world. They are small and agile creatures, and their attacks, while not particularly strong, deal plague and poison effects.
Behaviour
Gnekks wander about aimlessly when idle, but attack players on sight. They make up for their small attack base damage by dealing poison 1 and plague 1 for 5 seconds per attack; a bezoar, for example, will help to counter this. Gnekks will also attack creatures, skeletons for example, that hit or shoot them by accident.
Gnekks have fairly low health and are somewhat easy to kill; however, the challenge is hitting them because of their small hitbox size and rapid jumping and darting movements. They cannot fly, despite having wings. However, they can climb walls in the same way that spiders can. Gnekks usually drop poison glands and slimeballs on death.
Spawning
Gnekk can spawn in any Overwold biome, or in The End. Can only spawn underground (y ≤ 50).
Gnekk spawners can be found in Shadow Labyrinths (Lycanites Dungeon) and Dungeons (Vanilla).
Gnekk can spawn from Poison liquid.
Taming
Gnekks can be tamed with level 2 knowledge and 3-5 imp treats from there the player will have the option to put the gnekk on the shoulders
their utility as pets are quite limited as when they are on your shoulder you can not break blocks or attack although the gnekk can if set to aggressive or defensive, they can serve as a good distraction charging at any threats and attacking frequently whilst also applying poision although their attacks wont hit very hard
