Hippogryph
Hippogryph is a mob added by Ice and Fire.
They are easiest found in desert areas and forests. They are territorial. This means they will attack you if you get too close to them.
To tame them you must wait for one to land, and then drop 1-6 Rabbit's Foot for them to eat to tame them. Each Rabbit's Foot has a 1/3 chance to tame, so it might need more. (Important note: throw each rabbit's feet individually, not in stacks!)
They do not use Pet Armor, they use Hippogryph Armor. They use Basic Saddles (vanilla saddle). They can also have chests.
There are 7 variations of hippogryphs:
- Black
- Brown
- Gray
- Chestnut
- Cream
- Dark Brown
- White
Drops:
- 0-5 Feather
- 0-5 Leather
Controls:
- Right-Click with empty main hand to mount
- Shift + Right-Click with empty main hand to open inventory (while dismounted)
- "x" to attack (while mounted)
- Shift to dismount
- Space to fly up
- "x" to fly down
- Right-click with a stick in main hand make to make it stay or wander
- Shift + Right-click with a stick in main hand to mark the home position of the hippogryph
They can be bred by giving them Rabbits Stew. You need to tame the baby hippogryph after you throw the egg!
If you feed (right-click) a glistering melon to a hippogryph, it will turn into a dodogrypth!
