Cockatrice (Lycanites Mobs)
Cockatrice are large, chicken-like creatures that are found wandering Jungles killing Insects.

Behavior
Once a Cockatrice pecks its prey it paralyses them and continues to attack them.
Spawning
Cockatrice can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Jungle
- Mountain
Cockatrice spawners can be found in Common Doomlike Dungeons, Jungle Doomlike Dungeons and Mesa Doomlike Dungeons.
Taming
Much like a garden variety of other mobs in the mod, Cockatrice can be tamed, and will require you to make Dragon Treats for them before you can do so. In order to try and tame one, you will likely need more than one treat, because these mobs are greedy and will try to kill you at the same time.
If the Cockatrice wants more treats, it will say so in the chat. If not and it stops attacking you, it will read, “The Cockatrice seems to love you now!” Congratulations, you’ve tamed a mob you can fly around with! Now all you’ll need is a Dragon Saddle and Pet Armor (for extra protection) and you’re ready to stun enemies!

Sub Species
For every Cockatrice that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Cockatrices can be Ashen or Violet. An Ashen Cockatrice has a snow body, blue legs and purple beak and a Violet Cockatrice has a pink and purple body with red legs. Uncommon Cockatrices have higher stats than a regular Cockatrice. This does not change their behavior.
Pet Cockatrice Abilities
Pet Cockatrice gain the ability to be a flying mount but they are rather slow compared to others and are generally not preferred as a flying pet. Its main use is to fight mobs by pecking at them. Once a Cockatrice pecks the enemy by it self or by the player mounting it and using its ability it paralyses them. This makes Cockatrice a decent combat pet.
