The following page is for listing tips and ideas to help people establish themselves after the very beginning.

  • Remember to grab levelup! remastered specialization once you get level 5. It doesn't cost you any of the earned levels, but gives you bonus exp to help make progression faster. Also, look into the items you will need/want for your playstyle and specialization. If you intend on doing lots of combat, then grab a few levels of magic, optimally level 6 early on. This allows you to craft and use the faster bandages, and if you use crafting specialization, they give reasonable experience points for crafting them.
  • If you are playing normal survival, a good trick is to die multiple times until you find a village. Loot the village, activate the waystone, then die and repeat. This will allow you to amass multiple enchanted books, crates, grapes, food, paper and books, and more.
  • Avoid battle towers until midgame, unless you are really confident in your combat skills.
  • Harvest any birch trees you can find, they can be converted into paper, which can be traded with villagers for experience and enchanted books.
  • Create an Atlas as soon as possible. This will help with exploration, marking significant locations, and even finding your death location if necessary. ALWAYS create a duplicate of your atlas before exploring as it globally updates.
  • If you die far from where your spawn is, a Grave Scroll is a cheap and sustainable way to teleport back to your death location.
  • Try to get the supplies for a brewing stand as soon as possible. Invisibility and Recall Potions are incredible assets for progressing to mid and late game.
