Kobold
Kobold are small rat mobs from Lycanites Mobs that like to steal items off the ground.
Spawning
Kobold can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Plains
- Savanna
Kobold can not spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Snowy
Kobold spawners can be found in Dungeons (Vanilla).
Often go to structures, villages, and the like and steal resources. They often summon in packs.
Variants
For every Kobold that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Kobolds can be Ashen or Verdant. A Verdant Kobold is dark green, and an Ashen Kobold is a greyish-purple color. Uncommon Kobolds have higher stats than a regular Kobold. This does not change their behavior.
Summoning
If the player has a Knowledge Rank of at least 1 of the Kobold, it can be summoned as a temporary allied minion with a Summoning Staff. They can not be tamed, only temporarily summoned. Kobolds cost 2 
like most summonable mobs.
Behavior
These small rat like creatures will often run from larger creatures. However they will go and attack the player when he is low on health. Kobolds also have the special attribute to pick up dropped items, and will break torches within their reach. For this reason it's advised to place torches at least 1 block above the ground level, or use other light sources like candles. When killed kobolds will drop all stolen items, or when their inventory is empty, they have a chance to drop 1-2 Coal,an Iron Ingot, a Gold Nugget, or an Emerald.

- Unlike most mobs there is a baby version of this mob.
