Mace

The (flanged) mace is a one handed weapon with average damage, range, and knockback, and mediocre attack speed. The advantage of this weapon is its innate +50% base undead damage bonus, making it a decent choice to farm applicable spawners until they break. Because this bonus is a multiplier and weapon damage scales flatly, maces tend to underperform with weaker materials. However, when higher rarity materials are used, the mace's undead DPS rivals, or outright surpasses, that of most two-handed weapons.

As it is specialized for killing undead mobs, using a mace as a solo weapon is not recommended. Enchanting it with smite will play into its niche If you wish to use it at a more advanced level. Note that using silver, which has its own innate bonus, will result in a total of +100% base damage against undead, making it a synergistic choice.
