Pixie (Familiar Fauna)
Not to be confused with Pixies from the Ice and Fire mod.
Pixies are small flying and passive mobs added by the Familiar Fauna mod. They look like tiny blocks with wings that flutter swiftly above the Flowery biomes. They come in multiple colors, can glow in the dark and leaves a pretty long lasting particle which can indicate that it spawned. Their drops are important, as it is used to make Potion of Wings that grant Flight, a very useful potion effect for travel or combat that allows creative flight.
If you right click it with a Bug Net while having a Bug Habitat in your inventory, you will catch it. Right click with the Bug Habitat to release it.
Drops

Do note that the drops are unpredictable, as they are unaffected by Looting enchantments, Luck, and the Guaranteed Drop ability from the Gathering skill.
Spawning
Pixies spawn in Flower biomes, mostly in Flower Forests. They rarely spawn in these biomes so the only way to get them to spawn is to wait until colored particles are seen indicating a Pixie has spawned.
Tips
- The efficient way to kill a Pixie is by shooting it with an arrow or waiting for one to go near ground where you can hit it.
Trivia
- These mobs didn't have a use prior to 2.9. Only serving as ambient mobs similar to Bats and Butterflies.
