Quetzodracl
Quetzodracl are large, wyvern-like creatures that fly around the oceans and hunt players and other mobs.
Behavior
Once Quetzodracl has spotted its prey, it will swoop in and start attacking it. When fighting them it is best to use their size against them. Players would normally want to kill it before it starts attacking them as they would be dropped into the ocean once the Quetzodracl is dead.
Spawning
Quetzodracl can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Ocean
Taming
Much like a garden variety of other mobs in the mod, Quetzodracl can be tamed, and will require you to make tasty treats for them before you can do so. In order to try and tame one, you will likely need more than one treat, because these mobs are greedy and will try to kill you at the same time.
If the Quetzodracl wants more treats, it will say so in the chat. If not and it stops attacking you, it will read, “The Quetzodracl seems to love you now!” Congratulations, you’ve tamed a mob you can fly around with! Now all you’ll need is a saddle and pet armor (for extra protection) and you’re ready to take to the skies.
SubSpecies
For every Quetzodracl that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variant. Uncommon Quetzodracls can be Ashen or Golden. An Ashen Quetzodracl has a darkish maroon skin and blue eyes, and a Golden Quetzodracl has a bright yellow body and a peach beak. Uncommon Quetzodracls have higher stats than a regular Quetzodracl. This does not change their behavior.
Pet Quetzodracl Abilities
Pet Quetzodracl gain the ability to be used as a mount and fly around. Along with this, tamed Quetzodracl have a special ability in which they can pick up mobs, much like the Roc, however it is able to carry larger mobs, like the Maka for example. This is useful to transport villagers, nymphs, etcetera. They can also carry hostile mobs.
