Tarantulas are hostile arachnids from Lycanites Mobs which naturally spawn in jungle biomes or swamps. They also are able to leave a temporary cobweb trail behind in which players can get easily caught up.

Tarantula can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:

• Jungle
• Swamp

Tarantula spawners can be found in Jungle Doomlike Dungeons, Lush Tombs (Lycanites Dungeon) and Dungeons (Vanilla).

Tips

Since it is hard to strike them with a melee weapon due to hitting the cobweb they create, the best choice of weaponry is some sort of ranged weapon like Throwing Knives or Bows.
