Sylphs are Holy Elemental mobs from Lycanites Mobs that protect holy grounds.

Spawning

Sylph spawn in Overworld Vanilla Structures (e.g. Desert Temples; Strongholds; Witch Huts; Jungle Temples).

Sylph spawners can be found in Desert Crypts (Lycanites Dungeon), Lush Tombs (Lycanites Dungeon) and Dungeons (Vanilla).

Summoning

If the player has a Knowledge Rank of 2 of the Aegis and Djinn, it can be summoned as a temporary allied minion with a Summoning Staff. They can not be tamed, only temporarily summoned.

variants

For every Sylph that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Sylph can be Golden or Verdant. A Golden Sylph has a gold body with a brown helm, while a Verdant Sylph is teal with a red helm. Uncommon Sylph have double the health of a regular Sylph.

Sylph, like other mobs from Lycanites Mobs, can spawn at higher Levels. Local Area Difficulty can increase the Lvl of an Sylph.

Behavior

Any entity considered "unholy" with a couple of blocks of the Sylph's range will be ignited by the yellow flames given off by the aura that it blasts. The yellow flames inflict the Smite effect, which makes you burn in the light if you're not in water. Sylph are aggressive.

Fusion

A wild Aegis and Djinn can fuse into a Lvl 20 Sylph when touched, making it bigger, stronger, and holier. The Sylph will be uncommon when both the Aegis and Djinn are uncommon.

Drops

Sylph drop Gold nuggets and Sylph Wings (rarely) when killed.

Trivia

  • The Sylph gets its name from its definition: an imaginary spirit of the air.
