Triffid
Triffids are large carnivorous plants which are known for poisoning their prey so they don't escape.
Spawning
Triffid can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Swamp
- Spooky
Triffid spawners can be found in Desert Crypts (Lycanites Dungeon) and Dungeons (Vanilla).
Every time you break crops or grass, there is a 0.02% chance of a Triffid to spawn.
Behavior
Triffids are hostile and will immediatly attack the player. These creatures are very slow but should be handled with care as their attacks are increadibly strong and spread plague. Axes are very effective, but they will heal in water, so it is advised to lure it away from any lake or source of water
Variants
For every Triffid that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Triffid can be Violet or Azure. A Violet Triffid has pink stems with a violet head, while an Azure Triffid has light blue stems with a blue head. Uncommon Triffid have double the health of a regular Triffid.
Summoning
If the player has a Knowledge Rank of 2 of the Triffid, it can be summoned as a temporary allied minion with a Summoning Staff. They can not be tamed, only temporarily summoned.
