RLCraft is designed to be a difficult and frustrating experience, especially for new players. Below are some tips for beginners to survive and thrive.

Early Steps:

  1. Find Shelter: Build a basic shelter or locate a village (prioritize the latter). Prioritize well-lit areas for nighttime safety.
  2. Craft Tools: Craft a  Flint Knife, stone tools, and a Crafting Table.png Crafting Table. Prioritize a sleeping bag for nighttime safety.

Get Flint from Gravel, right click it on a hard surface like stone or cobblestone to get Flint Shards. Get sticks from leaves, then craft a flint knife. Use that knife to get fibers by breaking grass. Use the fibers to make string, then make a flint axe.

  1. Village Exploration: In villages, loot houses, especially libraries and utilize farms. However, avoid staying overnight to minimize villager dying.
  2. Safe Building Materials: Utilize stone, stone brick variants, mossy cobble, and Lycanite blocks. Avoid flammable materials like wood or wool incase of lycanite mob events.
  3. Animal Farming: Establish enclosed farms for cows and chickens, using stone as the primary building material. Breeding animals and then butchering them is a good source of exp.

Early Progression:

  1. Mine for Iron: Mine for the iron clumps on surface instead. You can easily see them since they are covered in granite or andesite blocks. Keep distance when mining ores since Geonachs can spawn. Caving is especially dangerous since a lot of strong lycanite mobs can kill you.
  2. Craft Basic Baubles: Craft a Toolbelt, Quiver, Emerald Rings, and Emerald Amulet. Utilize Reforging Station (Bountiful Baubles) and Reforging Station (Quality Tools) (if possible) to improve their quality.
  3. Atlas Creation: Craft Atlases to track exploration progress. Make copies to avoid losing exploration data upon death.
  4. Village Raiding: Explore villages for resources like redstone, enchanted books, food, and crates. Avoid staying overnight in villages.

Lycanites Events:

  • Be aware of the 5-hour "hotspot" window for Lycanites Events, signifying a higher chance of their occurrence.
  • During these periods, prioritize basic survival activities and avoid high-risk ventures.

Combat Tips:

  1. Prioritize Skill Leveling: Aim for level 16 to unlock diamond armor and weaponry.
  2. Battle Tower Tactics: Block enemy paths and attack through holes. Utilize water buckets to extinguish fire and prioritize fleeing from powerful mobs like Ninjas or Blights.
  3. Battle Tower Loot: Avoid opening the chest on the floor before the last. Consider using Hoppers to collect loot from the Battle Tower Golem (cheese method).
  4. Enchantment Importance: Enchant your armor with Protection IV, Unbreaking, and Mending for better survivability.

Mid-game Goals:

  1. Defiled Lands Exploration: Locate a Defiled Lands Biome to establish a bookworm farm for Golden Scales, necessary for a Disenchantment Table.
  2. Disenchantment Importance: Disenchant tools to save the enchants in them.
  3. Locate Librarians: Use librarians to get rare enchants like supreme sharpness, supreme protection, etc.

Taming Lycanite Mobs (Mid-Late game):

  • Tame Rocs, Morrocks, or Raikos to get flying mounts.
  • Use Soulstones to permanently bind tamed pets.
