Geonach is an Earth Elemental hostile mob from Lycanites Mobs that spawns from mining ores and crystals. It takes increased damage from pickaxes whereas other weapons' effectiveness on it is reduced.

Spawning

Geonach spawners can be found in Desert Crypts (Lycanites Dungeon) and Dungeons (Vanilla).

There is a 0.97% chance of a Geonach to spawn every time a player breaks one of the following blocks:

  • Coal Ore
  • Iron Ore
  • Gold Ore
  • Silver Ore
  • Umbrium Ore
  • Cave Crystal (any color)
  • Cave Crystal Sheet (any color)
  • Lush Crystal
  • Desert Crystal
  • Aberrant Crystal
  • Ashen Crystal
  • Shadow Crystal
  • Demon Crystal

Geonach spawned from activating an Celestial Geonach Altar with a Soulkey will always result in a #Celestial Geonach.

Variants

For every Geonach that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variant. Uncommon Geonachs can be Keppel or Golden. A Keppel Geonach is teal colored, while a Golden Geonach is gold colored. Uncommon Geonachs have double the Health of a regular one.

Celestial Geonach

There is a 0.5% chance for a Celestial Geonach to spawn. A Celestial Geonach is a splotchy blue color and has a boss bar when approached. It deals double damage, attacks twice as fast and has 20x the normal health of a Geonach.

 Summoning

Geonach can be summoned as a temporary allied minion with a Summoning Staff, requiring at least Knowledge Rank 2. They cannot be tamed.

 Levels

See Creature Levels for more information.

Geonachs, like other mobs from Lycanites Mobs, can spawn at higher Levels. Local Area Difficulty can increase the Lvl of an Geonach, and Geonachs spawned in Dungeons will also be higher Lvl than normal.

Behavior

A hostile Geonach will fly towards the player, attacking rapidly. Their attacks inflict Weight, making it impossible to jump and difficult to flee.

If a Geonach touches Lava or Moglava it will turn into a Volcan.

 Fusion

Geonachs will fuse with other nearby base elementals to form stronger ones. Aegis, Argus, Cinder, Djinn, and Jengu elementals can fuse to form a Lvl 20 mob of the respective type. If both elementals are Uncommon, the resulting elemental will also be Uncommon. The following is a full list of results when a mob is combined with a Geonach:

Base Element Second Element Result
Geonach Aegis Vapula
Geonach Argus Tremor
Geonach Cinder Volcan
Geonach Djinn Banshee
Geonach Jengu Spriggan

Tips

  • Geonachs can be "farmed" by mining ore with Silk Touch and replacing it in a loop
