Vapula
Vapulas are strong mobs from the Lycanites Mobs mod and are powerful Crystal Elementals that embody the essence of structure itself. Vapulas are normally found when mining gemstones such as diamonds, redstone and emeralds.
Behavior
Vapula fire a round of sharp crystal projectiles from their back rapidly, once the round is fired they must recharge making them vulnerable. On hit, the crystals apply the Aphagia effect which stops you from using right-click abilities.
It is best advised to not use ranged weapons, as any ranged weapon can be rendered useless with Aphagia. Pickaxes and similar tools are very effective.
Spawning
There is a 2% chance of a Vapula to spawn every time you break one of the following blocks:
- Lapis Lazuli Ore
- Diamond Ore
- Redstone Ore
- Emerald Ore
- Heart Crystal Ore
- Ender Biotite Ore
- Sapphire Ore
- Scarlite Ore
- Hephaestite Ore
- Cincinnasite Ore
- Nether Quartz Ore
Vapula spawners can be found in Dungeons (Vanilla).
Summoning
If the player has a Knowledge Rank of 2 of the Vapula, it can be summoned as a temporary allied minion with a Summoning Staff. They can not be tamed, only temporarily summoned. Vapula can also be summoned by fusing an Aegis and a Geonach
Variants
For every Vapula that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Vapula can be Verdant or Golden. A Verdant Vapula is pink in color, with green crystals, while a Golden Vapula is orange in color, with golden crystals. Uncommon Vapula have double the health of a regular Aegis.
