Spectre are dark void elementals from Lycanites Mobs that suck in anything near them and tear it apart.

Spawning

Spectre can spawn in the Overwold at (y ≤ 20).

Spectre can spawn in The End.

Every time you catch a fish in void, there is a 0.25% chance of a Spectre to spawn.

Spectre spawners can be found in Aberrant Stations (Lycanites Dungeon) and Dungeons (Vanilla).

Summoning

If the player has a Knowledge Rank of at least 1 of the Aegis and Argus, they can be summoned as temporary allied minions with a Summoning Staff. The two minions can then fuse into an Spectre if they are close enough together. They can not be tamed, only temporarily summoned.

Variants

For every Spectre that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Spectre can be Azure or Lux. An Azure Spectre is black with purple features, while a Lux Spectre is a bright white-blue mix. Uncommon Spectres have higher stats than regular Spectres. This does not change their behavior.

Levels

See Creature Levels for more information.

Spectres, like other mobs from Lycanites Mobs, can spawn at higher Levels. Local Area Difficulty can increase the Lvl of a Spectre. A Spectre created by fusion will always be Lvl 20. Spectre spawned in Dungeons will also be higher Lvl than normal.

Behavior

Spectre will float in the end in random places and drag mobs close to them. The player can also commonly come across Spectres in caves and mineshafts underground. If a player comes near them, they bring the player towards them and attack it with their melee, which applies decay, making it so most sources of health regen do not work.

Fusion

If a wild Aegis and Argus fuse, they will create a Spectre. If the Aegis and Argus are both Uncommon, the resulting Spectre will also be Uncommon.
