Argi are Chaos Elemental mobs from Lycanites Mobs that appear when the balance of nature is out of control.

Spawning

Argus can spawn in The End.

Every time you catch a fish in void, there is a 0.95% chance of an Argus to spawn.

Whenever you kill Elemental mobs there is a 10% chance to increase Chaos Level. The following chat messages will warn you when the Chaos Level is increased:

  • You are disrupting the balance of nature, be careful! - Chaos Level 1 (Nothing happens at this stage)
  • Your destructive actions on the elements is drawing in Chaotic energy! - Chaos Level 2 (Nothing happens at this stage)
  • Chaotic energy has manifested into something! Beware! - Chaos Level 3 (An Argus spawns in the world) Chaos Level is reset after the Argus spawns.

If you haven't killed elemental mobs for a while after increasing the Chaos Level, the following message will appear:

Balance seems to be restored... For now at least... - Chaos Level is reset.

Argus spawners can be found in Dungeons (Vanilla).

Variants

For every Argus that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Argi can be Scarlet or Dark. A Scarlet Argus is a bright red hue with blue eyes, while a Dark Argus is dark purple with green eyes. Uncommon Argi have double the Health of a regular Argus. This does not change their behavior.

 Levels

See Creature Levels for more information.

Argi, like other mobs from Lycanites Mobs, can spawn at higher Levels. Local Area Difficulty can increase the Lvl of an Argus, and Argi spawned in Dungeons will also be higher Lvl than normal.

Summoning

If the player has a Knowledge Rank of at least 2 of the Argus, it can be summoned as a temporary allied minion with a Summoning Staff. They can not be tamed, only temporarily summoned.

Behavior

A hostile Argus will fly around the player, attacking them with chaos orb charges from a distance. While attacking, they will glow the color of their eyes while trying to throw Chaos Orbs at the player. The orbs will send the target flying randomly in any direction (caused by the Instability effect). Argi are fast and attack quickly, and their high damage makes them a dangerous threat. Caution should be taken when trying to defend from one. Many times their orbs shoot in somewhat random directions and can easily hit other mobs by mistake, leading them to attack the Argus.

 Fusion

Argi will fuse with other nearby base elementals to form stronger ones. Aegis, Cinder, Djinn, Geonach, and Jengu elementals can fuse to form a Lvl 20 mob of the respective type. If both elementals are Uncommon, the resulting elemental will also be Uncommon. The following is a full list of results when a mob is combined with an Argus:

Base Element Second Element Result
Argus Aegis Spectre (Lycanites Mobs)
Argus Cinder Grue
Argus Djinn Wraith
Argus Geonach Tremor
Argus Jengu Eechetik
