Djinn are Air Elemental mobs from Lycanites Mobs that protect the sky from unwanted visitors.

Spawning

Djinn spawn above Y: 128 in the Overworld in groups of 1-3. While high up, some naturally spawning structures can have Djinn floating around them if they are near cloud height.

Djinn spawners can be found in Dungeons (Vanilla).

 Summoning

If the player has a Knowledge Rank of at least 2 of the Djinn, it can be summoned as a temporary allied minion with a Summoning Staff. They can not be tamed, only temporarily summoned.

 variants

See variants System for more information.

For every Djinn that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Djinn can be Ashen or Violet. An Ashen Djinn is dark gray in color, while a Violet Djinn is pink. Uncommon Djinn have higher stats than a regular Djinn.

 Levels

See Creature Levels for more information.

Djinn, like other mobs from Lycanites Mobs, can spawn at higher Levels. Local Area Difficulty can increase the Lvl of a Djinn. Djinn can not spawn in Dungeons.

Behavior

Djinn will attack targets with a ring of whirlwinds that deal 2 damage and inflict Levitation III when they hit. The ring will always surround them from the same height that the Djinn fired it at, so a player that is already moving upwards is less likely to be hit again. However, multiple Djinn can chain the player in a loop, lifting them incredible heights into the air.

A Bow and some arrows are recommended for tackling them early on. Additionally, having water nearby or Feather Falling to assist you in case you are lifted too high is a necessity in this pack. If a hostile Djinn lifts you into the air and breaks your legs, the Slowness caused by the First Aid mod will allow them to easily do it over again and kill you.

 Fusion

Djinn will fuse with other nearby base elementals to form stronger ones. Aegis, Argus, Cinder, Geonach, and Jengu elementals can fuse to form a Lvl 20 mob of the respective type. If both elementals are Uncommon, the resulting elemental will also be Uncommon. The following is a full list of results when a mob is combined with a Djinn:

Base Element Second Element Result
Djinn Aegis Sylph
Djinn Argus Wraith
Djinn Cinder Zephyr
Djinn Geonach Banshee
Djinn Jengu Reiver

Trivia

According to the official Lycanites mob wiki, Djinns are also called Zephyr.
